in blue though...

The small size of these 20-bulb, battery-operated LED light strings makes decorating easier. Light controller lets you choose "steady on" or "blinking"; Cannot be connected end-to-end. 8' lighted length. 30" lead. Lasts about 150 hours with each set of four AA batteries (not included).
i have a bunch of rechargeable AA batteries.
right now im using two regular christmas lights and the aren't working well.
would these work well?

Unfortunately, I cannot find a link, but
Check fish stores. There is a $10 underwater (i.e. humidity is no issue) T-5 (which is a very high output fluorescent, also available w/ a higher blue spectrum) light.
The maker is Jebo Odyssea.
Excellent for a stealth project.
Otherwise, just get a florescent light at a hardware store or wally world.
Personally, I would not waste 1 minute contemplating LEDs or Xmas lights - go florescent.

Tried it - NO, batteries will wear out within one or two days - too expensive to be buying batteries every 2 or 3 days.

i have many rechargeable batteries.
i found a 4" fluorescent light that requires 4 AA batteries. it stays on for about 6 hours before the batteries die. i was thinking about changing the batteries every 4 to 8 hours, when i fan.
but would this light work well? it's definitely bright.

Sounds a lot like the light I experimented with.
It's not as bright as a plug-in light - 4 AA batteries equal only 6 volts.
But if changing batteries is OK twice a day, I don't see a major problem.
I guess you don't want any electrical cords coming out of your tool box.

changing them wouldn't be that bad since i have the recharger in my room and ill always have the other 4 batteries charging. they should be near fully charged in 8 hours.
these are the specs on the little 4 watt fluorescent i was thinking about getting.
