I'm totally confused. I'm seeing torrents with planet earth shows form last year, but all the websites seem to say its JUST now out.

Did this really premier in 06 or am I seeing mislabed torrents. I really dont want to download 20 gigs to find out its really BLUE planet, or something similar.

Ok WTF?!

I tried to watch this last night... I thought it was on at 7 CST but it was a two-hour Waco Texas thing.

Is it only on Discovery HD?

Nope. I watched some of it last night on standard definition normal disocvery.

It played for like 2 hours or something.

Then again later from like 1am to 3am or something.

I'd actually buy it, but discovery shows are always so expensive for big shows like this.

It's actually not that bad. I'm over at discovery.com right now it's only $80 for the box set

and while you're at it buy blue planet also $80 for the box set

I wasn't aware that "award-winning actress and conservationist Sigourney Weaver narrates this 11-part series."

so when are the other 10 parts going to be broadcasted? I watched it last night too, but my woman wanted to watch House as well, so I had to flip back and forth and didn't get to see the whole thing. Fortunately they played it back to back for at least five hours, but it was the same thing I had just seen. Anyone have any idea when the next one is? I'd rather not go on an internet exploration to answer my question....

Download them all. You Americans are seeing it with the wrong narrator IMHO. David Attenbourgh made it.
Check out "The Private Life of Plants" my favorite documentary of his. And "State of the Planet" :yesnod: as well.

This VVV is quite possibly the best documentary site ever.

These came out awhile ago... I've seen them on CBC, and I downloaded them before that, so yes, they are old. But damn good.

omg shameful :frown:

In the USA, the series is to broadcast on the Discovery Channel and in high-definition on Discovery HD Theater starting 25 March 2007. The episodes will be shown in a different order to the original, as follows:

  1. "From Pole To Pole": 25 March 2007 at 8pm et
  2. "Mountains": 25 March at 9pm et
  3. "Ocean Deep": 25 March at 10pm et
  4. "Deserts": 1 April at 8pm et
  5. "Ice Worlds": 1 April at 9pm et
  6. "Shallow Seas": 8 April at 8pm et
  7. "Great Plains": 8 April at 9pm et
  8. "Jungles": 15 April at 8pm et
  9. "Fresh Water": 15 April at 9pm et
  10. "Seasonal Forests": 22 April at 8pm et
  11. "Caves": 22 April at 9pm et

The U.S. version will also feature a new narrator: award-winning actress and conservationist Sigourney Weaver. The DVD release should contain this new narration, as listed on the Discovery Store website, despite the fact that the Washington Post has reported David Attenborough as narrator.[

SIGOURNEY WEAVER?!? THAT IS SO LAME! david is the man, i think discovery probably didn't want him narrating it cause there'd be some people complaining how they can't understand his posh accent or something...

April 15th is going to be amazing. Stupid ass school doesn't get Discovery Channel though. I'm going to have to go to my girlfriend's house in Philly or my buddy's place in Manhattan to see it. Regardless... I will see it.

Was the euro vresion from last year in HD also?

I ask becuse I want to get HD quality torrents of it, as HD is higher def then a DVD rip.

But obviously since they are not all 'out' here yet, it would haveto be smeone who grabbed them in euroland.
