adding sterile water to stalled jars-

i inoculated 6 jars of WBS with an old MS syringe i had from sporesource(equador). after like 10 days i think i finally had germination but it was going slow and didnt show promising signs of finishing. here is a link to a thread i made at that point in time:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6616444#6616444
well about five days ago, i injected about 10cc or so of boiled water into the jars and they are all showing promising signs, a few are almost done and id say most of them are 80% . i just wanted to say that injecting water can actually work if your jars appear to have dried out. i think my moisture content was perfect when i made the jars, but due to the age of the syringe(about 8 months, not stored in ideal conditions) it took awhile to germinate. by this time i believe i had lost a bit of essential moisture for the jars. if done in sterile conditions i fail to see how injecting water makes the grain any more susceptible to contams than the intial inoculation, and when all risks are minimalized i dont think contams are a huge issue with this procedure. but at the same time i may have a clean house or something because even though this is only my second grow, my first grow was a hpoo monotub and i was very lucky and have never had a contam.
regardless, i just wanted to post some new pics so people who are thinking about getting rid of jars that are stalled, u might as well try to fix them before throwing them out. some people would argue that the strain is a slow colonizer and i might as well ditch is but i think that would be making the assumption that its the genetics that caused the strain to stall. i think we would all agree that almost all strains, multispore or an isolate shouldnt have a problem colonizing grain if the conditions are perfect. my point is, saying that it will take a long time to colonize my substrate and everything lacks merit, because i believe the jars were stalled because of moisture problems, not genetics.
that being said, here are some pics , the jars are now almost a month old but didnt show germination indicators until a week and a half or so. i think once these jars finish they will definitely tear through some horse poo and i will have 6 more quarts worth of shrooms than i thought i would as it turns out i started 6 more jars so its gonna be a happy 4/20
since im having a hard time resizing images for thumbnails just look at them in my gallery(by clicking on the picture icon under my username) and look at the "jars with sterile water added" each picture is a different jar, once again these were jars that i thought were gonna go to waste now theyre almost completely colonized.

But the jars in these pictures are nowhere near 80% or even 10% colonized..? And they look very wet.

thank you
the cool thing is i didnt think they would actually work so i made up 6 more jars of pink buffalo and finally learned how to do WBS well and get the moisture content right and those jars are near complete also. so now instead of planning to have 6 quarts i have 12 so im going to do some poo monotubs and some coir so i can compare potency and yields etc directly with coir and poo.
also im planning on drinking an eighth of tea and eating an eighth on 4/20
