PE-6 latest pics and notes on potency * 1

These latest photos show the short, thick stems and chestnut-brown caps of PE-6, the PE/TX hybrid courtesy of the talented Roger Rabbit. These specimens were grown on coffee-soaked rye then spawned in pasteurized horse manure to which was added 1 rounded tsp each of kelp and blood meal. I had been using 1/2 tsp of the supplements, but this strain tolerates and indeed thrives on the added nitrogen. They have been colonizing a PF jar of rye in less than a week and a 64oz container of manure in about a week.

These PE-6 grown with more blood/kelp meal were noticeably more potent than usual, and the previous ones have always been considerably more potent than most cubes I've grown.




Note the blue-green staining. These stains occurred in under 1 minute, usually within 30 seconds.

Interesting looking fruit.  I think I have a PE6 syringe... guess it's time to make some LC and go from there!

Nice. It's good to see the potency it was crossed for still coming through after a few years and countless generations.

I finally understand, though, why my syringe is labeled "Penis Envy 6rr." :biggrin:  Didn't know the strain's history.
