More comparisons of Pan. subbs and Pan foenisecii

Thought I'd throw in my comparison too
The first pic is of Panaeolus foenisecii and the last 3 are of Panaeolus subbalteatus. The foenisecii here in GA that I find are definitely brown spored, its a very dark brown, but its not near jet black in color like a subb print. Pan. foenisecii also tends to have a more reddish cap and white stem compared to subbs, and the vertical grooves on the stipe aren't nearly as pronounced on foensecii as they are on subbs. And foensecii lack the tiny hairs that can sometimes been seen in the upper portions of a subbalteatus stem.
LK,

Hi,
First, why do our Panaeolus subbalteatus in the southeast, Look so different than the subbs found in the PNW??? -The stems here in the southeast tend to be reddish/brown, -But the stems in the PNW appear off-white.....
I remember mj commenting on some of your (lizards) pictures of subbalteatus, Saying, that the subbs you find are possibly a variation of the specie. ....
And secondly, About the Panaeolus foenisecii....
Are they not titled "Panaeolina foenisecii"?
Panaeolina mushrooms (from what i remember) render dark purple spore deposits... -But you say that yours are a brownish color.. strange..
Personally, i think that you may have variations of both species (subbs and foenisecii).
+Last time i visited and camped with you and friends up in Atlanta Ga you showed me a strange mushroom that you were unsure of but thought was something along the lines of foenisecii.... it probably was a foenisecii, BUT,
I have never found P foenisecii in Florida.
I have found them in Illinois, Wisconsin, Seattle and Hong Kong China. -And, maybe i am wrong on this but the ones in your picture do not seem to be the same as i have found.
Anyways damnit im so jealous of all these cool mushrooms your finding up there...there just isnt enough time in my day to match up to those Psilocybe Weilii hehehehe
Keep shroomin, GG

the Panaeolina Foenisecii that i find(in washington) seem a lot smaller then the ones that i see in the pictures. I have found many of them very small and left them for a couple of days and still they dont get any bigger. Is it becasue these shrooms grow slower or am i just most likley finding a smaller variation of the speicies. I find very few over 3/4 of an inch and they already have planed caps. I asked this before but i didnt catch the answer, Do the Foenisecii in the PNW have Pshycoative compounds or not? I have heard that they do and that they dont. I am confused.
