Outdoor beds
    #6699588 - 03/22/07 04:59 PM (15 years, 4 months ago)

I searched old posts to see if composted cow manure bought from like farm king or a local greenhouse would work in outdoor beds. I know that it probably wouldn't fare well indoors, but I know that things are different outside. Any help would be appreciated.

some brands work and some don't...
you never know til you try some out.

good example...
Black Cow brand...
some of this stuff works in the southern parts of the USA.
yet up in the northern states the same brand doesn't seem to work well.

I'd use horse poo or cow manure and straw...
that I collected from a farm myself rather than a store bought product.

If you can't collect your own manure...
store brands might be something worth trying.

no reason why properly composted manure wouldn't do well indoors.
i mixed dry weathered horse, cow and sheep dung collected from local fields ~50/50 with verm.
mixed it with half as much again of composted straw also found:ooo: in one of the fields:grin:
it all worked out lovely.
doubt if i'll collect sheeps again though.it seemed to retain a certain "sheepy" smell to it.
of course.you may have a wife/gf to consider.

whether low pressure sucks or high pressure blows...
it's a bugger to cycle in.
