If you get a contam, the #1 rule is to throw it out, even if you get it under control. Are there any exceptions?

I concepted from of the earlier posts, that if you cut the contaminated part from your cake (sterilized cutting utensil), and dunk the cake into a 1/100 (chlorine/water) solution you will get rid of contams, and maybe even boost the potentiallity of your next flush... I may be wrong, search the forums. keyword= "chlorine" PEACE~~~!!! -ban

so.. yeah, i think you already know what i just posted up there... i just realized that you were asking about contams inside the jars... eh? I guess there is no cure for that, i suggest practicing euthanasia on your lil fetuses, or is it fetusi ?
I wonder if there could be some sort of vaccination you could inject into your mycelium when it is healthy, so that no contam would break in, and the mycelium's immune system could build the right antibodies... lol...
heh... meh is fuZZed up...

No, you misunderstood. I didn't give you enough an example. Say you spawn poo with a cake and as the poo is colonizing you get a grey contam that you defeat with liberal h2o2. The contam is stopped, but there are still it's toxins in the poo... Now that the poo is fully colonized, and the toxins are there, is there any way you could still eat the mushrooms growing from them.

My rule number one is never trying anything from a bacterial contaminated cake/casing. If i can get rid of something like molds or cobweb by cutting them or treat them, i only try from free contaminated areas. The reason is that the worst deadlly toxins are from bacteria wich is carried to the fruitbodies, molds do work on a different way and there's less risk involved, i mean if there's only few spots, i guess it all have to be judge case by case.
