pins are exciting!

My friend has pins! He says he now knows why this forum sees so many posts like these from first time growers. During colonization he flipped all the jars, and when he birthed these first two cakes he wasn't sure which was to put them. As it turns out, he guessed wrong, so he imagines that these pins will be growing in weird directions. Oh well, that's not too terrible is it?

He birthed these two cakes 6 days ago, and he was beginning to worry that he had somehow managed to really screw things up, but now he can see a few larger pins as well as many, many other liiiiiiiittle primordia ready to grow big and strong-like.

What a great hobby.

I hear ya on that one. I was "hella stoked" when I saw my first pins and what's even more exciting is the fact that the best is yet to come, watching those pins grow up. :grin:
