WTO Buddhist Leader
    #668286 - 06/08/02 05:03 AM (15 years, 7 months ago)

I havnt been smokin weed as of late, it just makes me paanoid. Anyway, i had a smoke last night and was watching TV. In my hightened state of mind I could read peoples body language very well. I turned over to a political show and they were interviewing the new leader of the WTO, hes an ex buddhist monk. Anyway, he seemed uncomfortable when the interviewer mentioned a buddhist principle, and how the WTO contradicts that. Anywayhe came out with some bullshit of how buddha would have supported what the WTO do etc etc. anyway, i don't rekon this guy was really a buddhist monk, it just looks good for the organisation.

Crash a cig guvnor?

did he have the brown robe, shaved head? definitely a buddhist monk.....

however, in buddhism there are many factions, there are the original indian monks, the chinese buddhists, the Na Mo A Mi Tuo Fu factions from the 16th century onward, and then Thailand has a very big buddhist following, so I'm sure this monk can in no way represent all of buddhism, but he may as well do that though, I'm alwasy surprised at where these people turn up, they are alwasy invited to the u.n. conferences and what not, you ever see the pope invited? Crazy stuff going on with the buddhists.
