I'm very new to this, maybe someone can help me.

I have read about every page on the boards, I am about to innoculate my first jars
when I read the The Foolproof Psilocybe Cubensis Mycelial Culture Technique. This guy says that you dont have to wait for the mushies to fruit, you can extract the active compounds from the myceilium before it pins.

What is the deal here? I imagine it is a lot easier to do this but the yield must decrease. Does this really work? I would love for someone to answer this question.

Also, if you were going to wait for most of your jars to fruit but you wanted to dose right away, you could extract at least 1 dose from each jar...

yes is works.
i was short a dose and had too much cakes so i took the acke, crumbeld it into cranbery juice with a little 95% alcohol and a little lemmon juice.
the cup containing the abovce was put in a hot water 'bath' and stirred every couple of minutes for about an hour.

then filter and anjoy.

make sure u choose a mature cake that pinned befor.

It seems like I could have sustainable growth if I just innoculate jars watch for mycelium growth to take completly over and then use a small amount of that growth to innoculate other jars.

Then with the rest of the jar I could get a few doses. What kind of yield are we looking at here from a regular PF cake extracted this way.

If you are having trouble fruiting and are thinking of mycelium extraction, you might consider looking into sclerotia forming species.
