H2O2 and perlite

Is everyone sure that H2O2 keeps the perlite clean. It is at 3% already right, plus H2O2 loses its property in the presence of alot of things including air, doesn't it? So diluting it down to less than 1% and then letting it sit there to just become water over time.......... Is that really doing anything. I'm not sure. what about 1% bleach solution.

I used to use perlite with H2O2. Maybe I didn't use enough H2O2 but the perlite in my one fruiting chamber got some green and pink on it right under my 2 trays. I had to throw it out. I've now gotten rid of the perlite altogether.

Using H2O2 in your perlite is just an added pecaution in case there is something in there to start with. The H2O2 will dissapate with several hours and become inefective again, so it will not protect against contams that it may encounter after the initial mix.
