by the way i found them a day after a rain on horse manure and i live in New England

can i eat or no?

Inky caps, maybe...Hard to tell. Don't eat them. If you do happen to be dumb enough to eat them and they are a type of "inky cap", then don't drink any alky with them. Stay away!

one can't determine positively what those are from that picture. i suggest you do some research. get some books. mushroom identification can be very tricky. don't eat them!

Looks like Coprinus, but god only knows. Try to get a decent picture with good lighting.

Don't eat them. You might vomit, or shit liquid things. Or die.

Looks something like a coprinus, but the cap looks a lil different to me...Hmm
