Just may be, one of the best songs ever written in the whole history of humans on this planet. Past and Future.
That is all. (for now)

Not my fav Opeth album/song. I prefer Orchid, Morningrise and Ghost Reveries.

Orchid is great. My favorite album of theirs that I own is Deliverance. Haven't had the chance to check out Blackwater Park yet.

That's a great album too, but check out Blackwater Park, and everything else they have... Damnation is quite different compared to their other albums... well allot calmer, and quiet. Regardless Damnation is an amazing album as well.
I started getting into Modest Mouse, and all I really heard was their CD right before the latest one, and a few old songs.
Well this week I decided to give another few Cd's of theirs a try... after all I've downloaded them all. I am in fucking awe of how much I love modest mouse now.... And I still haven't even heard some of their best albums yet. In a few days I will try the rest but for now I've heard .... This is a Long Drive For Someone with Nothing to Think About And The Moon and Antarctica
I cant wait to listen to the rest. I've had a massive Modest Mouse play list thumping the wall of my suite all week.
What I'm trying to get at... man, is that you shouldn't wait any longer, check out the rest of opeth. I have been getting the chills and deep reflection orgasms that good music gives me, today. Modest Mouse-Mathew Good-Opeth play list, I'm in love with music all over again. So meaningful, so trippy, so amazing!
I can't describe how good it feels, or what it does to me. I'm in bliss. I'm energetic. I'm in awe.
It's not just the pot

Deliverance is their best song and their best album.

You should check out Agalloch; either their album Pale Folklore or The Mantle.

Hmm...never heard of em. I'm going to download both albums right now. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm eager to see what it's like...

Nowhere near the power of Opeth.

Obviously they can't hold a candle to the masters, but they have their own unique thing going on. Much more folky than Opeth.

I found one torrent for The Mantle, and one that had their whole discography... so what the hell, I hope they're good. Cause I'm downloading it all right now.

True true.

Agalloch is an American atmospheric folk metal and experimental band formed in 1996 in Portland, Oregon
I found this to be encouraging. I'll smoke a few little bowls of pot, and listen to The Mantle front to back later tonight.
While we are talking about music, I must mention Broken Social Scene. They're very cool IMO, and quite trippy and unique. Check em out. Good Canadian stuff

An Opeth thread with no mention of Still Life? For shame.

Cool.
And hey... You should talk with the admins about raising the upload limit... often the opeth songs I try and upload are just too big.
