id just like to say that thatis the most BADASS growing tek i have ever seen. taht could easily be converted for a closet designated for mushroom growing! just have a few logs hanging!!! will anyone try this, if in a smaller way and post picks??? that would be awesome!!peaciness, and props for finding that  ------------------

Damn amazing. Does promt couple questions.He "rains" on them? Like with a hose?
Does he get more than 1 flush?
How many holes per inch?
Can You scale down?
Could you use a plastic newspaper bag? I invision an 8 foot tall, 1 foot wide, 1 foot deep, wood frame (no sides) with a "log" hanging in the middle. Then wrap the wood frame with clear plastic and staple / Tape in place. Humidity / Ventalation pupmed in from the top, some type of filter in the bottom. CO2 is heavier than air, so it will flow out the bottom being replaced by fresh air from the top. Maybe place bottom of wood frame in large plastic tray couple inches high. Fill tray with water and heater if neccissary. This should help keep humidy high. Too cool!!!!!

I'd imagine that watering them even through the top should not be prob since the water is free to drain. Like in real nature.hmmm cool

In this tek, the shrooms grow out of the holes in the plastic, right?
Is _anyone_ doing any type of adaptation of this, like putting a plastic sheet with holes in it over a casing? I've never heard of this before, and I wonder if it would have any benefits/negative effects.
Anyone?
BTW, what type of shrooms is he growing in those pics? Looks like maybe oysters or something.

You guys,, this is nothing new. Just like VFH pointed out, this is from P. Stamets book Growing Gourmet and Medicinacal Mushrooms. There are some great pics in there.AS for how this guy is "raining" on them ..
they are no doubt in a basement with high humidity around them. He is probably using a commercial unit that blows out high amounts of humidity. These are found on Stamets site as well. Interestingly enough, you could get cubensis to grow like this. But large casing trays would be more effeciant. -peace- www.thehawkseye.com
