Self evident.

Yet you'd have a much harder time proving the contrary. In fact, you couldn't. Infinicy can be observed in life, in the way it function, is ever increasing, how previously unknown things always arise, how new creations never end, how we know next to nothing about anything, how there are new dimensions being discovered. Infinicy is pretty evident, while there is nothing to support any kind of limit in the universe.

Numbers are used to document, not prophecy limits of things that aren't even yet known.

You are still completely disregarding my distinction between infinite quantity and infinite of possibility.

I agree that the universe can take any form, and we can have any kind of experience.

But this has NOTHING to do with what I have been arguing from my very first post. What has a beginning must have an end. If it does not, it is infinite.

The universe at this point in time is composed of a finite set of experience. We can continually add more experience or more forms, but this addition only leaves us with a bigger, still finite number. Again, the continual addition is a semantic process, which only exists as long as we keep doing it.

I think Icelander demonstrated this pretty well in our exchange:

Me: "We can not keep adding forever"

Ice: "Of course we can"

Me: "You can not prove it. You can only talk about proving it"

Ice: "Self evident".

Therefore, the fact that infinite is not a real thing, but words which we have mistaken to be a real thing, is not an assumption at all; it is self evident.
