What exactly is a DRY shroom?

I think I might be having some problems with my dessication chamber but I'm not sure. A couple of the really small shrooms (actually aborts) in there seem to be bone dry (as in they would crack if you tried to bend them) but the bigger ones still have a very rubbery feel.
Are the big ones always rubbery when they are dry, or does this mean that they still have water in them? Thanks!

Thank you. In a properly working dessication chamber, how long should it take for larger shrooms to become completely bone dry. I did fan for 6-12 hours first.

Well, the abhorts are dry, so you know the chamber is working. However, if you didn't fan dry your mushrooms before you put them in the chamber, they might not be drying as fast. Not only will pre-drying your mushrooms with a fan be faster and prevent rot in this way, it will also save on resorces (you're drying subtance will last longer)

a dry shroom is a shroom without water in it

in seriousness, however big, they should snap like fresh crackers. you can dry big ones faster by slicing them before putting them in the dessicant chamber.
