It took me 11 days to pin. Anyways, yesterday i watered one of the casings by pouring water into the cracks on the sides, and then i drained the excess back out after about 10 minutes.

I did the same to the other two casings today and I misted pretty well because I can tell they are quite dry.

I think they're gonna boom after this!

I have done that before. I used amazons though. I always had huge flushes of beautiful fruit. The pesa strains and south american strains love water. look where they came from.
I grew up picking in florida and can remember going out after a hurricane one year and finding them growing in puddles of water 3" deep.
I never ever saw a harvest that big before, they were everywhere.

just my 2 cents.

Updated with the progress of the day, definitely noticeable.

A few veils have partially teared on the biggest ones, but they are still relatively small =(.

Oh well, they are still beautiful ! Added more water.

i recently had some problems with small fruits
aside from the typical advice of water/air/etc to make them bigger...substrate depth matters alot.

from the looks of it, you use aluminum cook-n-carry roaster pans.
likewise for what i use, or have in the past, and i realized, they're only a depth of 1 and a half, to 2 inches at most, not counting casing layer...

thats fine and all, except when you have killer pinsets like you, me, and alot of others have...suddenly there is too many mushrooms to make big, so all are 3-4 inches tall, no matter how much water or air you supply.

I used two quart jars for each of them though. That sucks though..I dono, I've seen big fruits off of these types of trays, but then again it is my first attempt. What do you think?

I made one of my casings with a bread pan which is deeper and more narrow, so I will be able to test that theory at least =).

I am happy no matter what, as there will be plenty for the eatin! I still have 3 trays that havent begun pinning.

First flush fruits are typically smaller than second. But considering the FC you described I thought that looked pretty good.

edit: All I have been using is a regular spray- bottle though. Maybe I should go buy a real sprayer?

Today something is telling me that something is a little wrong. All of them are relatively small and growing relatively slow.

I have 3 more casings about to pin, and I don't want it to happen with them.

I'm gunna post some more pics, and head to the store to buy a real sprayer.
