Gulf coast jars

I'll have some gulf coast prints soon. My only question is why are my jars colonizing so slow. I know not having an incubator is the main reason but I was told they would still colonize in like three or four weeks even without an incubator.
right now its been two and a half weeks and my jars are at most 25% colonized. The jars are standard PF tek 1/2 pint BRF about a 3 to 5 ratio of BRF to VERM watered to field capacity.

Well I'll let everyone know when I get the prints so we can do some trading. Does anyone know if they will be interested for sure. Let me know something people, and if anyone can give me some tips to speed up the colonizing of my jars it would really be appriciated. TTYL

*Update*
As of 5:32 today(06-07-02) three of my jars were showing contams and have been destroyed; that only leaves three hope they dont bite the bullet too.

Since you don't currently have any prints to trade this really doesn't belong here.

Plus you are asking for advice on your jars so off to mushroom cultivation we go.

i just got done fruiting my first flush of golf coast and yes for me they were slow to even with an incubator so jus ne paticent

Im not sure if this is the case but I have seen when I pack the verm/BRF tightly into the 1/2 pint jars the colonization really slows down. Just a thought for next time if in fact you did tamp em down a bit too much
