also.... something i didnt find in FAQ.... after i fan dry shrooms for 25 hrs, and i put them in tuperware with that drying stuff, how long will i leave them in there before they are totally dry? aprox?

The blue stuff is the good stuff degrading, expect it to happen, but try to keep it from degrading to bad.

You might need to do a bit more reading on this.
But the bluing is what we refer to as bruising.
It won't do too much, but try to avoid handling your mushrooms too much.
Handling them too much when they're still on the cake can cause them to stop growing.
That happens when you bang on the jar too hard trying to get the cake out.
The same thing happens to your cakes when you handle them too much.
They're delicate little buggers.

As for the drying question, I leave them lying around till they literally feel like dried sticks. If you've ever seen dried mushrooms (the kind you see at stores) then you will know what I mean. If all else fails, try to find a Chinese medicine store and they have dried shitake mushrooms, that will give you a good idea of what a dried mushroom is like.

Your shrooms are oxidizing and the psilo is leaving. Dry them a.s.a.p.
