It's about a 40 minute drive from Seatac airport. I've been to all of them. Hotels in Olympia are reasonable and there's good places to eat there as well. In fact, I live in Seattle, but when i go down there for the weekend, I always get a room. It beats fighting traffic to come home at night.

it's over an hour drive from SeaTac airport...without any traffic.
longer with traffic....don't bother driving down during rush hour!~
1:30 pm to 7:00 pm South bound I-5 is just pure hell!~

there is a really nice Indian Casino/hotel near Paul's place that you can stay at...
and they have a shuttle to Paul's seminars.
if you call fungiperfecti they probably can fill you in on this more.

I've taken several Shroomery members from the SeaTac airport to the seminar..in the past.
10 pm was clear sailing...driving down I-5.
lolzz

and I went down years ago with mjshroomer(John Allen) and was given a guided tour of fungiperfecti...
and they gave me some freebies!~

Yea, I guess forty minutes was a bit optimistic....but you know that Ford of mine roadz.  Cars pull over to let it pass because they look in the mirror and get scared

When you sign up for the seminar, he'll send you a pamplet with all the information and a list of hotels.

It could be a way to escape your husband or wife, who would be bored there !? and an opportunity for your dog miss you. You might even go just because there's no work there that you could do.

But more seriously, some people learn better from hearing and seeing than from reading, and of course, you can ask questions, and it's different and fun. It's a lot easier to build enthusiasm person to person. And he's an inspiring speaker.

I would like to ask him about culturing and fruiting Chlorophyllum rhacodes indoors. I have a delicious strain with ten inch caps that produced ten harvests like you see below from spring until snow fell.  I need input.

The table these are on is 4 feet in diameter.

What would you like to ask Paul Stamets?

I drove ten hours to get there and camped out 40 miles north of his place.  Great times!
He is a great speaker.  I'm still motivated and it's been nearly a year.

the seminar is worth it...i wish he would do a master cultivation course though.

take good notes if you go, paul is a very fast talker and coveres alot of ground.

i stayed in the red lion inn in olympia and it was nice and clean, concierge desk was helpful.

the information packet from the seminar had several options listed for sleeping....including a couple places to camp that other people in the class said was nice.

hope this helps.
