The _NEC DV-5700a Internal DVD Player just doesn't exist. The NEC site doesn't have the driver for it, nor does ANY of the vast number of driver websites around carry it. Yet i have the peice of shit installed into my computer, and it doesn't work becuase i just reinstalled windows.

Does anyone have this DVD player, and if so, could you PLEASE tell me where/how to get the driver. Not the flash upgrader firmware whatever-whatever they're trying to give me, just the standard driver, to make the fucker work.

I just got done spending a couple weeks getting my internet to come back, after it just died for no reason at all, and that would just rule if this could be fixed too. Thanks all.

Thanks man, i've actually tried that. It's an upgrade for a driver that i should already have, but can't find.

So if there are no drivers for it... how does it work? The driver windows says i have now is for a CDRom, which obviously is no good if i want to play DVD's.

For all their wonders, computers blow a lot of ass sometimes.
