too little water in my jars

I noticed that some of my jars are stalling. They are in an incubator at around 83 degrees. Some of the jars are doing extremely well and some show almost no signs of growth. Im beginning to believe that the cause of this is a lack of water in the jars. I thought I put the correct amount in to begin with but now Im having doubts. (I forget the exact amounts, but they are the same as in the pf tek)
My question is how to safely add water to these jars. My guess is to get some sterilized distilled water and inject it into the holes with a sterilized syringe. Now, how would I go about getting the water sterilized? Just boil it and then suck it up with a sterilized syringe? And how about getting the syringe sterilized?
Is this method safe from contamination? or should I just wait it out... its been a little more than a week.

you don't want to add water now.
just wait.....if they don't start to colonize in another week..... start over.

I'd say go ahead and try to squirt some water you boiled (and cooled) with saran wrap over the container.
That is, after you wait another week. It's worth a try before 'starting over' as roadkill recommended.
In your post, you don't mention why you think there's not enough water in there. Does the substrate look like it's all dry? Can you shake it around and the granules are moving freely? The reason why I ask is that perhaps you have too much water in there already.

My experiments with H20 levels resulted in the jars with too much water stalling and taking forever to colonize. I typically use 45 cc of H20 per 1/2 pint jar. I tried around 50-53 once and the colonization took a long time to start, but did eventually fully colonize.

Don't inject any water.
You can loosen the lids a bit, or flip the jars upside down, so that you can get rid of some of that CO2 and give the jars some O2.

I figure ill give them another week, then see what I can do. I dont think I can save them. I will probably loosen the lids then see what happens. After that Ill take drastic measures and inject 'em with water. We'll see. I figure Ill just chalk this up to experience.

That's what makes me suspect mine are too dry... they look slightly browner than usual, well not so much brown as not nice and white.
