do you know the japanese have a word (i think its spelt amae) and it means a 'deeply soul satisfying and fulfilling sense of childlike dependency on an individual or institution....'

They do seem to have a way with miniaturization and economy of scale. They really jumped on the transistor radio thing back in the '60s...
