Browning Mycelium......

If colonizing jars are exposed to high humidity ( around 95% RH) will the mycelium turn somewhat brown? I can see little droplets of mouisture touching the patches of mycelium that were once was a brilliant white and now are a more dull white with a little brown added in. I Assume it to be the mouisture droplets causing this, but just making sure.

Could be
1) a contam
2)uncolonized BRF/VERM/WATER leached through BRF
3)mycelia pizzle

That can happen if you make the jars to wet around the innoc spots. Browning mycellium doesnt always mean contam, although bacteria seams to pop up a lot more when its overly wet.

Yes, I have this on some jars at the moment.
I thought it was just some water hanging around at the bottom of the jars but it has seemed to grow on one of the jars-it covers alot of the bottom of the jar,
waddayallthink??

I think I have the same thing happening to me. Mine is almost a very light orange or light tanish-brown...Is that what yours looks like. Mine are also in high humidity, I don't know how to make an incubator without high humidity. If you will keep me posted on how yours do, and I'll let you know how mine turn out too. As if you couldn't tell I am aslo new at this, it's my first time, and I'm having a lot of truble deciding what is a contam, and what isn't... I already threw out three jars that I think now I may not have had too... oh, well.
