today i went on my second hunt. from the previous IDing i got on this forum, i believe these are all Panaeolus cyanescens (aka Copelandia cyanescens) but second opinions will be greatly appreciated. hopefully i hav the size of pic isnt as big as last time
location: Australia Conditions: in cow dung or close proximity
and the spore prints will be coming very soon, just got to wait for it to "print". just from sight they are all slightly bruising blue if thats any help.
also..... lol
i found this mushroom as well. looks totally different to the other mushrooms we may have found, so any idea of the species will also again be greatly appreciated ... SPORE PRINTS ARE MAKING AS I TYPE.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME

Lucky man!
The mushrooms on the newspaper are indeed, all Panaeolus cyanescens.
The bottom mushroom looks like Psilocybe cubensis, another active mushroom! You should see bluing eventually, though not as strong as with the copes. The bluing might appear slightly green, due to the yellowish colour of the mushroom.

ok the spore prints are done for the Psilocybe cubensis and Panaeolus cyanescens
so for the cubensis, the spore print is a purpley brown colour and the cyanecens is black ... is this correct ?
also the cubensis has done the bluing as curecat said would most noticably on the stem where it was cut and along the rim of the cap

For some reason your photos do not show up in the FireFox browser, only the IE browser. Next time, you should upload the photos to shroomery.
And yes, the spore print colour for Psilocybe species should be purple/brown. Spore colour for Panaeolus species should be black.

He says he hunted them. It looks like it could easily be coir, dead grass, or manure. I'm going to assume it is either grass or manure (digested grass), based on his claim that he hunted them on or around cow dung.

i dunno what coir is, but i found it in a cow paddock growing out of cow dung. it was the very last mushroom i found and i knew that it had to be something special,it just stood out so much.

Coir = coco coir = coconut fiber It is the shredded and compressed outer husk of a coconut, bought in a block, then rehydrated with water and sometimes used as a material for mushroom cultivation.

That is what I thought the other day. I was hunting, and had been noticing these strange mushrooms that looked like golf balls. I picked up a couple and brought them home, then set them down in my room on a plate with some other mushrooms....
3 or 4 days later, my room smelled like dog shit. At first, I thought my senses were acting up, or someone took a gnarly shit and the aroma wafted down the hall to my room from the bathroom, but the bathroom smelled fine. So WTF???
WEll, I smelled my turtles cage...nope. I smelled my slugs cage, not that either.....Hmmmmm. Then I saw the plate of mushrooms. I figured some might be rotting. I picked up a few of the likely suspects and sniffed. Not that either- WAIT! There was a red caged-like red mass erupting from one of the golf balls! "Ahhh... Clathrus..." I sniffed it- "AEEruuUGH!" It was promptly thrown over the balcony.

Good work indeed, all i've been finding is monster imitation copes (foensicci's i believe). You always spot them from around 60 meters away, get really excited, and then... Even though there awesome looking mushrooms, i'm still wishing they were Teachers. Maybe it's because i haven't found 1 active species in the 20 or so times i've been hunting now. Oh well, it's still good times.
All find them one day...

Great finds pingerau.
Nobody pointed out that you do have a "fake" in your collection.
Seen here circled in red is not a Copelandia mushroom:

8.35pm the bill, CCTV footage reveals a shopkeeper beating a robber with a cricket bat; and DC Perkins (Bruce Byron) is asked to manage a dangerous offender, while trying to establish a new relationship with his estranged son.
how could I have missed watching that?
