so...i was wondering while wandering and i have to ask...

if you let an LC exposed to light, the mycelium should go with the same reaction as in an solid medium right? aka fruiting...

so...probably i will experiment that if possible, just for the knowledge...

is there any chances of fruits in an light exposed LC? if so...kinda hydroponic mushies?

Light isn't a pinning trigger until full colonization, and even then it's a secondary pinning trigger. Mushrooms don't fruit hydroponically, although if you leave a lc long enough for a film to form on top, they've been known to sprout a pin or two.

I do have a microscope for the first person to develop a hydroponic tek for growing mushrooms, and I'm fairly certain I'll get to keep that microscope to give to my grandkids someday. The rule is, ten grams or bigger fruit by hydroponic methods. That means no grains in the water and chemical nutrient solution.

so...the rules would be...no grains, and no chemical solutions...so organic solutions are ok?

and..what are the triggers to fruiting? i only know about light ...

I guess it wasn't clear above. No grains in the water as that wouldn't be hydroponic solution. I meant to say, chemical solutions only as per hydroponics. I suppose organic hydro would be ok too, but don't try to just make a thick slurry that is essentially an overwet substrate and not really hydroponic, which means 'water'.
