Yeah I guess they are thinking about taking his win and turning it into a no contest.

That doesn't make any sense, how would pot help win a fight in any way? It's not like he took amphetamines before the fight

I'm sure Pride will, Gomi losing to Diaz was a marketing disaster in Japan.

I always wonder why weed is on the "banned substances" list for sporting type things... It's mind boggling.
I think it's even on the list for pro Chess players!

So, If I bet on this fight and lost, would I get my money back if it's changed to 'No Contest'?

You still got to give him a rematch. Gomi only other loss I know of was to BJ Penn. Besides Pot would not give you much of an advantage, although I could see a few hits settling the nerves down.
Probably Gomi will try to drag it out, or dodge him, or something because I heard before that they do script Gomi's fights.

He lost to Marcus Auralius too, who later challenged him for the title and Gomi won that fight. That's what they do with Gomi, they make someone beat him twice for the belt. I'm sure Diaz will get a rematch but at least this will help Pride smooth things over with the Japanese crowd they lost face to.
They were promoting the Gomi vs. Diaz fight in Japan as Pride's best vs the UFC's best, not that Diaz was even close to the best of his weight class, but it backfired in their faces completely.

Because it's illegal in most of the world, derr.
Anyone notice "MMA Weekly" has the best daily news?

So is jaywalking.
I do not see how pot would give an athlete a competitive advantage. If anything it would tend to make a person less aggressive.
