keeping my friends fresh

my shrooms will be ready to pick probly tomarrow , this is my first grow and i wanted to eat them fresh , if i just pick them and put them in the refrigirator ,how long will they stay fresh, and will this lessen the potentcy any . thanks?

They will be OK in the fridge for a bout a week. Wrap them in a paper towel and put them in a paper bag. NOT PLASTIC.

cool thanks for the replys , but i have decided to dry them this time because i just havested my first flush ever yesterday and it was about 10.3 g i had alot of shrooms but they were really small , they where thai ks i dont know if that matters or not . but i have 6 more cakes about to start pinning so i will have to wait , but i will deffinetly remember the advice thanks

does anybody have any suggestions of shrooms that might do better on cakes and grow bigger shrooms , i think the thai ks i used would do great on a casing but im not at that level yet , but im taking spore prints for later
