I managed to grow some 'shrooms, using ziplock disposable containers and a microwave to sterilize, first some honey/h20 and thai spores (BTW was a micological virgin b4 this.. expiriment) and than dumping the honey h2o + a healthy dose of h202 into some cooked brown rice.. i saw growth at 2 and 1/2 weeks, full colonization and pins at 4 weeks.. and i just let the shrooms grow out of the cakes since the box was only half filled with the rice cake :>) my first grow was also my first dosing... woah.. weird i think i like it though.... eternal gratitude to auto 59009 and all shroomy shroomers
also i should add that i used alot of disisnfectant spray, and i burned holes into the plastic lids and covered them with good waterproof bandaids, cleaned off a wall shelf in my room with ammonia and soap h2o and sent them good VIBEs:)

ur lucky a microwave would eavporate ur substrait water pretty quickly id imagine id stick with boiling or buy a pc

Hehe, gorew them before dosing huh? Thats the way Im going. A lot of people around my town have been complaining, that they got fake oens, just cuz they didnt know any better. SO, I said fuck it, and ordered syringes!

I was just wondering, if simply boiling the cups for 1 hour (as Ive seen in many tuts) woudl work well, or if it would be more worth it to find a pressure cooker?

WOW! Thats great to know, seeing as how Ive heard conflicting arguments about whether its safe to do it or not. (Safe in the sence that it could kill a crop) Some said it was fine, and some said it wasnt that good at all. But Ive heard more peopel say its good, then I have say its bad. Plus, most PF-Tek guides talk about boiling. I guess its just easier for a newbie!

Well, thatll cut the cost of everything I need WAY down!

Wow, hate to double post like thi, but Im just very glad you said that! I made a lis, with price ranges of everythign I need, and after getting rid of the pressure cooker, and subtracting the syringes (which Ive sent out for and paid for) Ive got only about $30 to spend, and thats cause I just cuase I wanna buy everything new!

theres not much diff.

if anything my pc dries substrate out a little.

boiling jars works just as good. and cool off faster.

i like my pc for rye grain.

rye is the shit .

it is so cool looking.
