Primordia still hanging around
    #662046 - 06/04/02 08:47 AM (15 years, 1 month ago)

I'm asking this because I've never had this scenario. I have a casing of gulf coasts that put out a massive pinset but there are still a bunch of primordia knots (they dont resemble mushrooms so they aren't 'pins') all over the casing that to my knowledge haven't gotten larger yet. I have many fruits right now on the casing ready to be picked but how should I deal with those primordia. I mean there are A LOT. The main question I'm hitting on here is are they just dormant until the 2nd flush or some I some how magicly remove them and watch my casing layer go with it.

thanks for the info

As Statments says in the mushroom cultivator, knots are initially formed for the first two flushes. When picking the mushrooms from the first flush, be careful not to damage the knots around them as they too will form into mushrooms in later flushes.

Ive only had cakes do this but they never would form pins, but just grow huge fuzzy knots. Since ive switched over to casing, it hasnt happend since. I'm thinking it was a combination of not enough fresh air + the humidity being too high.
