USPS and Things

So my friend is away in another state, and I got ahold of some things, and I was wondering how many people had experience mailing things to people in other states, concealed in like a book or things like that.
I can these things in 1"x1" cubes of sweet essence.
Is it a good idea, bad idea?
If good, has anyone done ANYTHING like this?

yeah, why not do something that would fit in a flat envelope anyway? Like tear of a little bit of a coffee filter or something.

That is an excellent idea, I'm going to have to remember that one. I've got all sorts of hallowed out books lying around, as well as hallowed out electronics. I just need more physical objects to hide lol.

I really like the scented candle idea, I was also thinking about using a hollow vhs tape and putting a "DO NOT X-RAY" sticker.
Also, could a scented candle be x-rayed?
Anyone working for FedEx, UPS, USPS?

From what I have read, the USPS ignores, or flags as suspisious, items marked "do not x-ray"... the label does not stop them from using x-rays on the package.

Ive heard the same thing Seuss.
At the same time I would never use USPS to send something illegal....dont mess with the federal mail system. Use something like fedex or DHL

The USPS site says that it's not a good idea to use "DO NOT X-RAY" on anything. They say right on their site that it won't guarantee that it's not x-rayed and will often get flagged as suspicious.

There is a downside to those as well... the USPS mail is protected by law against inspection without a search warrant (well it used to be, not certain now with the changes Bush made), while DHL/FedEx/etc can open and inspect any package they desire for any or no reason.

This was discussed in the Never Get Busted video. You can put weed inside a solid container and as long as you didn't handle the outside of it with dirty hands (ie particles of weed on your fingers) then it will be a while before the pot smell permeates through the container enough for a drug dog to alert to it. It's a good idea to put your sack inside a solid container if you're traveling short distances, so in the off chance you do get pulled over, if a K-9 searches your vehicle, the chance of it smelling the weed is lessened significantly.
As far as this working with packages being sent through the mail, it's probably best to double vacuum seal the pot along with whatever other methods of concealment you're using.
