do any of you that use a greenhouse with a coolmist running inside your greenhouse (no piping, humidifier on bottom shelf of gh) run it all the time, or is it on a timer
what is a good cycle to keep it around 90%

Depends on your RH in the room that the greenhouse is in... I have a 20 min on 2 hour off schedule going. Normal RH in that room is less than 20%... I suggest you experiment, buy a good multi-setting timer!

that sounds like it should be about right from what i've seen so far... ima try 15 minutes on 1 hour off and see what happens over the night, no casing layers are exposed (all casings under wax paper which provides 100% humidity around the surface of the casing) So im not really worried about water dropping onto them at this point...
thanks alot

When you put the coolmist inside your greenhouse, you need to fan your greenhouse. It's also a good idea to put a few holes along the top and bottom of the greenhouse to help with air exchange.

Just have plenty of slits and you don't need to fan a greenhouse. The humidifier creates a lot of airflow and turbulence, and this will draw air in and out the vent holes. Short cycles are much better than long cycles. I use two to five minutes on, six to ten minutes off depending on ambient humidity at the time. Use trays of perlite to catch the drips that do fall so they can be returned to the air as humidity. RR

thanks for chiming in everybody...
Im using a Martha closet, which has holes (very small, probably not suffeient for gas exchange... marthas have a two-part zipper, horizontal and vertical, would leaving the horizontal zipper on the top partly open be enough?

I think the "slits" are better, overall. I couldn't find it within myself to carve up my greenhouse (which is different than a martha), so I am constantly fanning, spraying, praying... After reading RR write that, I'm looking for my large GH cutting knife though! - The cool-mist timing varies by perspective, altitude, etc, etc - try the 15 on 60 off - it may work, or get you closer! &

I'm not the expert, but I would assume you would only want the slits on the top and bottom. On the top to let oxygen in, the bottom to let heavy co2 out.

OK... I run my coolmist inside as well, 30 on 90 off works well for me, needs refilled every 3 days.. Then I also have on a timer a air mattress pump that comes on for 2 minutes a time 14 times daily to provide air exchange for the greenhouses I found cutting slits like RR suggests is really just a PITA. I kept having to change coolmist settings, tape slits shut, some trays kept drying out the casing near the slits and I've found this air mattress pump to work much better. I bought two total off ebay for $22 shipped to my door. They work GREAT for FAE it seems to me. I don't have them pipe or anything I just have them sitting on top to the greenhouse with the nozzle cut into the plastic. These are really powerful and this is GREAT way of doing of things I think. Let me know if you need pics of anything.

Rawtoxic, I'd like to see a pic of your air mattress pump setup if possible. I'm trying to decide which method to use to get FAE inside the Martha (CPU fan?) to eliminate the manual fanning. I also have the CoolMist inside martha. I'm doing my first grow and have some pinning going on, but it's slow-going and I think that FAE is my problem. Been manually fanning like 4x a day recently.
