Bouncing Bear packaging and San Pedro questions

I'm going to make 2 orders of 3 6 inch san pedro cuttings for a friend and myself and I need to know how discreet the packaging is from them. Do they put "botanicals" on the box? or any other words/stickers/whatever that may gather some suspicion from fellow mail-box checkers? I've read nothing but good about BBB's SP, and the stuff i found on an online auction last time wasn't very potent, so i'm hoping for a better experience this time.

Why would "botanicals" raise suspicion?

Cause you're paranoid.
Or you live at home with your parents.
Both alternatives suck.
I believe BBB is rather discrete. I don't think they stamp "MAGIC CACTI" on the front of the box or anything.
Also, if you're thinking about getting some salvia and end up ordering from BBB, get a gram of their 5x standardized. It's magnifique!

BBB's pedro varies. They've got cacti from a few different sources that they ship out. Pedro varies anyway. So... who knows how good it will be.
I don't remember what their packaging says. It's either someone's name, or BBB. Nothing strange.
They do sometimes send you a catalog of new products to their past customers though, even if you didn't request one. So, your parents may be surprised to see a color catalog of cacti, ayahuasca, morning glory, and opium poppies some time in the future.

I've ordered cacti from BBB before (ethnogens.com really but same difference) and they have a habit of stamping "LIVE PLANTS" all over the box IME. I don't live with my parents, nor am I paranoid, but it still bothered me just for the fact that it's nobody's business but mine what the fuck I order. Once I had to pick up a box like that at the Post Office and another time it was handed to me by the mail carrier (too big to fit in the mailbox). He commented about what the stamp said as he handed it to me. "Just give me the friggin' thing, huh?" I desperately wanted to say.
I guess their intentions are good in stamping the boxes. They just want to make sure that the cuttings aren't messed up in transit. For that matter though, they could always just stamp "FRAGILE" on the boxes.
You should be able to leave a comment when you place an order. Just be emphatic about how you would prefer to not have anything marked on the package. I requested no stamps on 2 orders that I placed. One time they did what I asked and the other time they apparently overlooked it. If your privacy is that important to you maybe try calling them immediately after placing the order to ensure that they follow your request.
Also, I've ordered from both BBB and ethnogens.com (sister companies apparently) and haven't received any post-order catalogs from either.

I'd also suggest considering 12" cuttings instead of 6" ones.
If you order 6" cuttings you might get young ones, especially if you don't request a center cut and they send you a top cut.
I'd order 12" ones and ask for all center cuts unless you're planning on planting one/some.

Back maybe 4-5 years ago a high school kid I knew got busted by his parents by ordering morning glory seeds off of there because the package came labelled as bouncing bear botanicals. But that's many years ago. You might just want to get in touch with the people over at BBB and ask a straight question or ask for indiscreet packaging.

Yeah, i guess i may have been mistaken. The last time i did business with them was in '02, and i only ordered salvia and HBWR.
Sorry for any confusion.

Requesting 'discreet' packaging may be more fruitful.

Well, I emailed them and had the fortunate surprise of getting 2 emails back the next day. They said they will amend my order and not only that, gave me a bit of a bonus. I love stores that really strive for customer satisfaction. It's such a gem in this age, where quality and satisfaction are rarely a guarantee. If the cacti are good they'll definitely have a life-long customer.

Glad they made the changes you want, but I'll answer your questions anyway.
"does anyone Know if BB's 6 inch pieces are much smaller in diameter than the 12 inch pieces?"
Definitely. Usually at least. Like I've said before, they have plenty of variety that they ship out.
