Is this a good terranium?

Ok, my buddy has an old frefrigerator in his garage. ITs got a gaping hole in the back, but it can be easily sealed. My question is, if I were to place a heater in there, would an old Frig be an ideal Teranium for a crap load of innoculated jars? To me, this is a gold mine...i mean, once cleaned and the hole sealed, it seems like an awesome place to store innoculated jars. THoughts on this?

Refrigerators work GREAT! I don't know why more don't use them. They're insulated and its easy to maintain both a good humidity and temperature.

Go for it. You won't be disappointed.

A water heater in the bottom with a bucket of water, and the shelves above it holding jars, and spraying down with lysol to fight mold... yes.
Make the fridge you incubator.

AWEWSOME! Ok, it seems that he threw all the shelves out. SHould I just go out and make some plywood shelves, or would there be too much contamination with putting wood in there? If course, id Lysol the hell out of it.....what are your suggestions for shelving?

I would lean more towards stainless steel or a pvc based shevling..wood absorbs moisture and contams dwell on it. just my 2 cents

I would use plastic for the shelving (it's cheaper too) and drill a bunch of holes in it to allow air circulation. You should be able to find some pretty easy, and it isn't much more expensive than wood, and will eliminate a lot of the contam risk.
