to bad i wasnt sure what it was when i picked it. i thought i was bigger then the other mushrooms that grow around there but i wasnt sure. i soon found out when it started bluing tho! damn i wish i wouldnt of picked it, it would of been nice to see and outdoor cubensis. I just hope more will pop up!

congrats! I plan on taking my spent substrates outside too. It seems like a waste to just toss the things. It is encouraging to hear that outdoor casings are making it in the midwest.

thats funny that happened to my freind. someone raked around the bed taking off the cap so he did not know what it was... oh well
he just went to check on them and found doodle bugs and slugs all over the bed, they actuly ate all the pins!!! does anyone know how to keep these little criters out... also do they get a buzz from the mushies or are the unafected, just curios i guess. good luck gettin more from your out door bed
