Lovie was signed to an extension today.
Wow, those talks sure were at a standstill...

A sweet-ass extension, at that.

Thomas Jones just went to the Jets for only a swap of 2nd round picks. Seems like the Jets got a great deal right there, but the Bears really couldn't keep him and Benson.
And now Briggs is saying he won't play this year because of the franchise tag. This should be interesting.
At least they finally signed Lovie, but it's been a strange off-season so far for the Bears.

We'll take Briggs, too.

I don't blame you. Whoever gets Briggs is gonna get a hell of a player who's also pissed off.

We'll see how good he is when he ISNT playing next to the best Linebacker in the game, in back of the best Tackle in the game, and in front of two of the best safeties in the game.
That said, I think he'll play in Chicago.
He's not going anywhere.
I *guarantee* you that he will not hold out and cost himself 750K per game for long.
