I would look at the mycofiles grow report. He utilizes dung and straw inoculated with grain spawn. It?s a much less complicated and less steps process.

You are using a 1:1 spawn ration here, which is unnecessary high.(too much spawn).
The humidification and light regime seems ok.

Can I put two boxes inside the rubbermaid, on top of the wire mesh with coolmist on 24/7- (boxes would be 6in high, filled to the brim, 2 black garbage bags lining the box interior) Good Idea?
When Spawning takes place will 10 qt jars (350ml dry seed) be enough to spawn
10qts manure-40qts straw w/o having to worry about contams? HEPA is on 24/7.
For the container- I?m gona ditch the lid. A fiber glass window should work but how can you make an airtight seal? Refrigerator sealent with weights on window?
Flip the bin Upside down with window on top?

Anno?s right too much spawn... you can use 1 quart of spawn to like 20 quarts of straw easily..

SumGuy- Do you think I should spawn 3qts millet-3qts dung-20qts(10 dry lbs) straw all in one shot?
Thanks Guys- You have turned me on to bulk neglect style- honestly, a cool mist is one big pain in the ass! All these complicated steps made cultivation very challenging & fun. Now, I plan to flip the rubbermaid upside down so the lid opening will allow Co2 to vent out. Place some perlite on the bottom of lid-Simply take the top of container off for a couple minutes a day & let the HEPA do the fanning. Smoke Up & watch some fungus grow!!! Thankyou Anno. Thankyou SumGuy. My life lately has been dedicated to making the cultivation process as complicated as possible!!!

The Grow Chamber- Similiar to mycofile?s but is a rubbermaid.
Interior Measurements are 19in * 16in = 2.1 sqft. Height of bin is 6.9in.

The Bins were spray painted Black. The tape holding the wires together are now covered in silicon glue. The top Metal bio dome is not glued to the bin.
Last Night, my brain decided to hit 5th gear! Observing myco grow bags & Mycofiles Bulk Neglect. Schwing, Suddenly my brain was pumping out mad ideas. Looking at Mycofiles Neglect tek, I disliked the idea of draping a garbage bag over the bins for fruiting (though thats the point of the neglect). So I headed out for the shed. I gathered some wire, wire cutters, tape measure, silicon glue, blow torch, Duct tape, & clear garbage bagies with the look of a Mad Scientist on my face. I have completed the constuction of my low cost Ultra Ghetto v5.9 Bio Dome!!!
This Bad Boy puts the G in GHETTO!!! If you would like a copy of how to constuct the Platinum Bio Dome- Dont ask- BACK OFF!!!
I?m presoaking the Substrate tonight.
How to measure Substrate: 1st aquire 1qrt jar, one scale that measure up to 4oz?s, wheat straw, dung, etc... Measure 5.25 qrts of dry dung & 22.8 qrts of chopped wheat straw. Wiegh this out to make sure you have 26.66% dry wight ratio dung to straw. Now throws this in a bin or something & add 3.5cups short of 8 gallons. Soak overnight. ORRR fill your bin w/t dry straw- empty into bucket- fill 1/3 with dry dung- empty into bucket- throw some gypsum in & fill with tap water! Thats How I measure. Fuck the top part.

your whole style sucksssssssssssssssssssss.you are just makin a very crappy terrarium. you might think that this is a great idea but its not. the whole point of bulk neglect is to put the long lost simplicity back into a complicated process. your crappy wire dome is not what that log (not tek) was going for.
1.... now the casing will lose more moistness cause it has to fill that whole dome.
2..... if you were worried about the plastic on the top of the box put a tooth pic every 4 inches and at every corner to raise it . but realize plastic can be sterialized.
3...if you havent noticed myco bags are dumb to fruit in unless you have your reasons. you shouldnt mimic that process if you just going to case it.
4....the reason cardboard boxes are used is because of cheapness,the rate of airation(which is better than plastic)... and the sterilness of cardboard...meaning card board is clean.
..basically you made a terrarium which is opposite the tek youre tryin to mimic rethink you plan or do what your doin but its not bulk neglect it should be posted as...the way to make the cheapest terrarium ever....i dont mean to flame you its just you didnt get that much out of mycofiles post and by the way looking at fake girls spread there legs is stupid no one wants to see your cum spots on that mag

This post was made to get input like so -but not from assholes. There are differant ways to communcicate your point. The goal of this post was to correct what is being done wrong as I move forth but i do not know who you are or how much experiance you have. Hell, you could be less experianced then me for all I know. The title under your name says stranger.
Anyways, from reading your post you dont sound like a novice as I am. So point 3 says cardboard allows more air exchange- But the Bins height is no more then a PFCAKE(6.9in) so why would I have to worry about air exchangeas. Shouldn?t Co2 leak over the sides with no problem? Is Cardboard w/t a triple layer of plastic bags airtight like a rubbermaid?

hey looks good to me, i was thinking of actually building something very similar. you may need to mist a bit more, but that should be the only problem. i think mycofile ( and i may be wrong ) choose a cardboard box for size/ cheapness not ariation as phish said, after lining it with many plastic bags, he would have lost any airflo anyway... and besides phish obviously YOU lost the meaning of the bulk post. it wasnt about building a perfect set up, it was just showing you can get a lot of shrooms out of a little effort, you must have read more into it. i dont see any more work ( other than building the frame), than mycofile did...and as you said, this was a log, not a tek, which means its open for changes, and i dont see any of the changes being made, being detremental.....

the cheapest most effective humidity dome is using a seedling/cloning tray with the humidity dome. These are found at garden stores but there domes are to short so if you have a local hydroponic store they carry taller domes and trays. Its $5.95 for domes and $3.95 for trays generally. These work the best with casing but the pf-tek can also be used in these trays. The nice thing is they take up little to no space.

well if you read the whole post it gets in to why plastic terrariums need holes cause the co2 needs to breath easier plastic terrariums restrict that and carboard does not airate. your right if you were to line it with 10 pieces of plastic no air would pass i mention this because what im doin requires the air from all around. and i confused his post with my new system im working on. i assure you that in no way was i tryin to stop you from your terrarium but mycofiles log is easy to follow.also in comment to that dumbass guy who said somthing aboout charlie brown i noticed you took you picture off. i made a comment to him because he looked like a narc and he took a picturee of his face under his name i find that fishy.

urbanator if you cant read im sorry.and i guess i was wrong you pic is still there very very sketchie. chrome crow i didnt lose site of that log. actually im only using this process from now on. yes it was about growing bulk but the way it was laid out didnt need improvement it simplified every thing the point is that angel is building a terrarium. and angel im sorry my word did come across strong and i appologise for the fact of the matter is is i ment to help not to put you down. im just sayin there was nothing wrong with that grow log to begin with..so dont say its your twist on bulk neglect cause its not its your own bulk log using stuff that you had handy. i wish you very merry flushes angel. and i hope you put the bulk in bulk growing

Thankyou for support ChromeCrow- I never could make it this far w/o help, support, and feedback from you guys. I am a beginner trying a GGGhetto style of cultivating. Maybe I will prove a Newbie can accomplish Bulk with little effort. A MultiSpore syringe is used to colonize three jars. Each jar is shaked about 30 seconds- Breaking grains up 24hrs prior to spawning.
Look they have Rizo?s!!! (1st Time hehe)
Dung fills 1/3 of bin
Straw fills 3/4 of bin
Dung/Straw are tossed into tote & are presoaking(Tap water).
Prep/Measureing take 5minutes if that.
Time & money involved in process kicks ASS!!!
Bin-$5
Straw-FREE & precut- Home Depot was happy to see me collect garbage bags of
fragmented straw. Normally Employes get to clean the parking lot.
Dung-Free -takes some work to prepare If you dont know what your doing.
(I didnt fuck this step up- It was the one armed man!!! He smelled Phishy)
Millet-20lbs=$5
Jars-7$ for 12jars
Polyfill-1$
Water-1$(only for jars so far)
Peroxide-1$
Xtra stuff in shed-free (Oh Yeah- Shout out to Papa Dukes)

good luck on your gghetoooooooooooo dome hope it works out. good score on the straw. thats a cleaver way to get free stuff. make sure the straw is pressed really tight down and i think youll have know problem. the truth is bulk is about 100% easier.in my experiance ive grown one cake. hated the results and now im into my 500th ( or somthin like that)bulk setup ive been doin this for 11 years. and it has been so easy as long as colonization happens before contamination you be fine. good luck

Rippers Tek Kicks Ass- Hardly any work in comparison to stove top pasteurizing
Little effort- this part involves waiting 1.5hrs but hardly any work
350ml *3qt jars mixed w/t 70%straw 30%dung. Patted down. Cased with dung as mycofile does. Takes 10minutes max.
Garbage Baggies are draped over bin as of now. 11 small holes are poked in garbage bag. HEPA is on b/c I dont have anything else to use it for.

Yeah club, those were nice pix, nice log.
Angel, I think everything looks fine. When I did the bulk neglect experiments, I wasn?t actually trying to do anything besides get some fruits and I didn?t have room in a terrerium to put them in. I just half assed everything and got great results, just as I?m sure you will. Remember, for a couple flushes, my boxes weren?t covered with anything at all, with an ambient rH of around 65% I think. If you live in a humid place, especially this time of the year, drying of the casing shouldn?t be much of a problem. Of course you will have to mist, you will always have to mist. And you will likely need to mist a little more often than if they just had a sheet draped over them, but it shouldn?t be a prob. I forgot what you said you were casing with, but if it?s coir make sure you supplement it with some (10-25%) verm to counteract coirs propensity to drying. More important than following general guidlines or philosophies of cultivation is knowing what your fungus needs, knowing how to tell what it neds, and giving it what it needs. Keep your eye on her, she will let you know what you need to do and you should be able to adjust anything on the fly.
I like what I?m seeing and can?t wait to see fruits. I hope I my experiences were helpful, and post those fruits soon!

the only problem i can see with those seed starting tray i have a shit load of the is u will get all kinds of droplets on your casings unless the domes at the hydronponics stor are shaped diff then the ones in the garden store

My new BED!!! Very COMFY!
The Corner is dry- I gave it a qaulity kick on the ass w/t a side of mist. Was this the right thing to do?
Tatood!!! Casing: 75% Coir 25%Vermiculite & a CrapLoad of Oyster Shell
I sterilized casising for 45minutes at 400f. I haven?t the best of luck w/t casings & I blame this on vermiculite. Sterilizing it like so is what works for me. Temp is overkill but following paranoi has helped me succeed.
Do you think I should let casing colonize 50%?
How often should I mist? I plan to mist when I wake up & go to bed? Is that enough? Since Ive made it this far- Should I deep scratch?

Mycellium has ripped through casing in 36hrs. Fingers/arms/Rizos are poking up all over coir!!! The stuff Dry?s out superquick though- Needs misting at least twice a day.  Light cycle started with a big boom. Light is running 24/7.
Club- I didntt scratch & I am misting twice a day(bed/wake)- Coir/Verm dry?s out fast needing lots of attention w/t garbage bag over coir. I always forget simple stuff but w/t Ghetto sign v5.68965 I never forget to mist.
The casing- I haven?t good luck w/t peat- I think its the source though. I purchased peat from WalMart for 99cents. A huge block of canadian peat but the stuff sucked. Do you think qaulity peat or spaghnum moss sold at local garden center would work? It cost extra money -5$ for a small bag.
    
Now that ghetto dome is in use- much more misting is required. Mycofiles Garbage bag over tray for fruiting is a great idea- it cuts misting down. two more trays of diff. substrains just started up & I plan to experiment w/t various casings. Do you have any ideas for differant scenarios-casing etc..?
My new bed has just tripled in size!!!! I now have 1 EQ bed - 1 Haw bed - &
1 Treasured Floridian Bed

you have to clean the peat from all the debris (woody stuff etc.), then you have to sterilize it in the microwave or similar.
also you have to add limestone to balance the PH.
This way peat is very contam resistant and dries very slowly.
try anyway to get a good quality peat, sphagnum should work good (in fact this kind is widely used in industrial mushroom cultivation)
btw your tray is looking very promising....

Those pictures aren?t as good as your earlier ones. Can you take some more and post them again? I?d like to see pinset, etc. if possible rather than closeups of specific mushrooms. Also, this looks like some aluminum tray rather than the big compost thing in the original set of pictures... Is it the same project?

Take Note- Ahmed Mohammed Raheaiil Uzman used 2 millet jars for right tray- left tray recieved three w/t half jar for psuedo casing. No contams in either but Ahmed likes the 3jar idea to cut down contam rate!!! Thankyou very much Ahmed!!!

The oozing puss.....does it look like a thick yellowish jelly type substance? If so, whatever it is it seems to be rather common, and more pronounced IME when using dungs. It also doesn?t seem to be bad. I?ve seen trays covered nearly 1/8-1/4 inch deep all over fruit very prolificly. I have two hypothesis on the nature of the goo.
1) It?s just metabolic wastes/excretions. Similar to the "sweat" seen in over incubated jars. This would likely include some antibiotics as you say you?ve heard. This hypothesis doesn?t include why the goos production seems to be increased on dung (which it may not be, other variables could have afftected my observations).
2) The goo is material which is "pushed out" of the dung during colonization. Or better yet, a combination of metabolic wastes/excretions and material pushed out of the dung.
I favor hypothesis #2 personally.
Either way, I?ve tried removing the goo with syringes or just plungers with no needle with very limited success and no noticeable effect on yield. I never thought of a better way of removing it, but perhaps someone else has. IME, only in extremem cases would you even want to try to remove any of it....

The ooze doesn?t seem to affect anything. I added more casing to tray. I noticed that as the tray self heated more along w/t 101% colonization- Ooze started appearing. Thanks Mycofile- oh -ooze is yellowish Jelly-Ill posts some pics tomorow.

I agree Mycofile.. it?s called "lechate" apparently... and isn?t a serious matter unless there is lots of it. Then only because it becomes stagnant and can be a vector for bacterial contams.
Though, I?ve never seen that happen
Oh, and according to TMC, it is a waste product of the mycelium as it digests nutrients.

Tray is pinning unevenly but I think its cause a multispore syringe inoculates.
Ghetto dome is Out Of Order. It cant hold humidity at 85%. A couple pins are the size of pinky finger & growing. Overlay is noticeable so I treated a very light sprinkle of Coir around dry spots. A lack of knowledge has led to overlay attributed to incorrect casing. The next tray is cased 2/3in deep & is being allowed to excrete its ooze before a second casing layer of 1/2in deep casing is applied.
A more even pinset is expected w/t 2nd tray & no cold shock is neccesarry. I notice once pins are present in one area the whole tray starts forming knots following the leader. I?m attempting to clone the leading strain, comparing weight productions of a clone vs multispore tray.

DreaMatrix, the plastic sheet was removed & recieved a lightI Misting. I let tray sit for about 45minutes in the open w/t grow lights running. Ghetto Dome can?t be used at this point b/c of overlay. Do you think I should lightly sprinkle more coco-coir over surface. Would fresh coir sprinkled over/around pins cause rot to set in?

I?m glad it?s working. Bulk really can be a lot less complicated than a lot of people make it. Of course in a much better controlled environment you may have gotten a much better pinset regardless of the multiple strains. But the point is that you will get lots of fruits and didn?t have to do a whole lot of work or spend a whole lot of money.
That goo is the exact stuff I?ve seen plenty of times, but I must admit I?ve never seen it on a casing layer like that. I used to see it on the substrate layer before it was cased, or maybe a little along the edge of a tray if the casing was thin there, but never across the middle of a casing like that. Just shows how much mileage may varry I suppose.
To answer your question about sprinkling coir, you can, and it won?t cause rot. You don?t want to put a heavy layer on, because it will be succeptible to contam until it colonizes. Thin layers colonize so fast that it wouldn?t be a problem. But, I don?t think I?d recomend that unless you had a very shallow casing layer to begin with. Just wait until you harvest, you?ll want to put a thin sprinkling of new coir on then anyways to repair the damage caused by harvesting and keep overlay in check.

17.5oz wet harvested but thats only 1/3 of first flush.
The Middle is pinning very uneavenly. Mushies are about 1in tall in middle while sides are pushing the limit. I harvested the big mushies- but sadly some small ones were attached. A total of 53 caps & roughly 20 aborts are harvested. Tonight I will follow up w/t more pics. Cheers!!!

First Flush is complete:
Estimated Dry Wieght: 7-8oz?s
Caps: 235 harvested (only counting mushies larger then 3in)
average height: 6-8in?s
Largest Mushie: easily over 10in?s
Potency: The best I?ve had- 5caps put me w/t ease at level 4.
Mushies were harvested over a 24hr period. Also, I harvested Two heaping handfulls of aborts. The strain is Pes Haw..A multiSpore was used & to my suprise yielded an overwhelming amount of mushies. I actually was sweating during harvest, running out of room space to dry mushies. None of this would have been possible w/o the help of fellow shroomenites. A special thanks to
Mycofile, Roadkill, & the Shroomery.

First off i never though hed make it this far. My god!! Did you see those fruits??
When he told me what he was doing i gave him that Bull shit look. But he fuckin did it i cant believe this, its just really hit me. This was sopposed to be one big fucked up experiment, that would fuck up ----and that would be that. But the curiosity turned into hope and the hope into a dream. And now hes brought me into what he calls his "myco-world".
i would just like everyone to know that, angel magic has another, caseing which should pin any day now of pes haw. This tray is mine, but he grew the spores and im just harvesting it for him, and its looking good if not better then that tray hes got posted. In other words he did the hard part for me.
This second tray, is like the Ghetto Dome's love child, its the Ghetto Domes back up, Plane B. And everything he did wiht the orginal Dome is recreated with my tray that i have.
How high do you thinhk my expectations are, after seeing something like that? Who knows, but Ill post some pics from our joint venture soon.
UNtill then, ill just marvel at my friend's accomplishment like the rest of the shroomery community. And also add my praise.

I admire all you guys having so much experiance, knowledge, & Helpfullness towards newbies. Understand, Im still a newbie. I got my first syringe only 7months ago & now look where I am. I expected only enough mushrooms for me. I don't know- It seems to me, straw holds an incredible amount of water making it an important ingrediant to achieve maximmum pottential. As it colonizes the mycellium engulf the straw, taking in all nutrious wheat/dung h2O. In turn, this allows for substrate to provide such a massive flush w/t large fruits.
Mushrooms should be dry in two days-

Millet is Southern States 100% whole grain millet. It's $2.50 for 10lbs.
I believe its 250ml H2O to 350ml Seed. Note- Jars content is 250ml millet
60ml Quino 40ml armarinth pinch of gypsum. Both Quino/Armarinth are sold
at WellSprings Health food store.

7 months eh? And people say bulk is hard!
Just want to point out, he's estimating 7-8 dry ounces. I think he said the surface area was just over 2 sq. ft. That's nearly a quarter pound dry per square foot per flush! With only 7 months experience! Just goes to show how you should grow if you need to quit and want to get one more grow in. 4 flushes like that, and you'll have 2 pounds, plenty to last years of non-growing if you preserve them right.
I just want to laugh at everybody who balked at this thread when it started! In the words of the Immortal Ash, "Who's laughing now?!"

I just need to add my praise to all the other people here.
My friend just started having fun with fungi and just
recently harvested his first cake. I fear I have lost him
to the fungus. He rarely comes around anymore....he
just sits in front of his grow chamber hugging it thinking
up new ways to get bigger mushies. lol Great job man.
