Angel, I think everything looks fine. When I did the bulk neglect experiments, I wasn?t actually trying to do anything besides get some fruits and I didn?t have room in a terrerium to put them in. I just half assed everything and got great results, just as I?m sure you will. Remember, for a couple flushes, my boxes weren?t covered with anything at all, with an ambient rH of around 65% I think. If you live in a humid place, especially this time of the year, drying of the casing shouldn?t be much of a problem. Of course you will have to mist, you will always have to mist. And you will likely need to mist a little more often than if they just had a sheet draped over them, but it shouldn?t be a prob. I forgot what you said you were casing with, but if it?s coir make sure you supplement it with some (10-25%) verm to counteract coirs propensity to drying. More important than following general guidlines or philosophies of cultivation is knowing what your fungus needs, knowing how to tell what it neds, and giving it what it needs. Keep your eye on her, she will let you know what you need to do and you should be able to adjust anything on the fly.
I like what I?m seeing and can?t wait to see fruits. I hope I my experiences were helpful, and post those fruits soon!

Hi Mycofile, Its a honor to hear from you. I just purchased reptibed coir at Petsmart. Im casing after work tonight. Cant WAIIT!!! Im following your casing style as I see no point to try something else. Bulk Neglect hasn?t failed me yet. I posted a few pics. the only problem i can see with those seed starting tray i have a shit load of the is u will get all kinds of droplets on your casings unless the domes at the hydronponics stor are shaped diff then the ones in the garden store

My new BED!!! Very COMFY!
The Corner is dry- I gave it a qaulity kick on the ass w/t a side of mist. Was this the right thing to do?
Tatood!!! Casing: 75% Coir 25%Vermiculite & a CrapLoad of Oyster Shell
I sterilized casising for 45minutes at 400f. I haven?t the best of luck w/t casings & I blame this on vermiculite. Sterilizing it like so is what works for me. Temp is overkill but following paranoi has helped me succeed.
Do you think I should let casing colonize 50%?
How often should I mist? I plan to mist when I wake up & go to bed? Is that enough? Since Ive made it this far- Should I deep scratch?

vermiculite and coco coirs suck as casing material, screened peat moss is the way to go.
btw your tray looks really good

Mycellium has ripped through casing in 36hrs. Fingers/arms/Rizos are poking up all over coir!!! The stuff Dry?s out superquick though- Needs misting at least twice a day.  Light cycle started with a big boom. Light is running 24/7.
Club- I didntt scratch & I am misting twice a day(bed/wake)- Coir/Verm dry?s out fast needing lots of attention w/t garbage bag over coir. I always forget simple stuff but w/t Ghetto sign v5.68965 I never forget to mist. 
The casing- I haven?t good luck w/t peat- I think its the source though. I purchased peat from WalMart for 99cents. A huge block of canadian peat but the stuff sucked. Do you think qaulity peat or spaghnum moss sold at local garden center would work? It cost extra money -5$ for a small bag.
     
Now that ghetto dome is in use- much more misting is required. Mycofiles Garbage bag over tray for fruiting is a great idea- it cuts misting down. two more trays of diff. substrains just started up & I plan to experiment w/t various casings. Do you have any ideas for differant scenarios-casing etc..?
My new bed has just tripled in size!!!! I now have 1 EQ bed - 1 Haw bed - &
1 Treasured Floridian Bed

you have to clean the peat from all the debris (woody stuff etc.), then you have to sterilize it in the microwave or similar.
also you have to add limestone to balance the PH.
This way peat is very contam resistant and dries very slowly.
try anyway to get a good quality peat, sphagnum should work good (in fact this kind is widely used in industrial mushroom cultivation)
btw your tray is looking very promising....

Those pictures aren?t as good as your earlier ones. Can you take some more and post them again? I?d like to see pinset, etc. if possible rather than closeups of specific mushrooms. Also, this looks like some aluminum tray rather than the big compost thing in the original set of pictures... Is it the same project?

You exposed the casing to fruiting conditions 3 days ago and you expect it to pin already?
Give it another 10 days and then come back if you still don?t see any pins.
I bet you will by then.

Take Note- Ahmed Mohammed Raheaiil Uzman used 2 millet jars for right tray- left tray recieved three w/t half jar for psuedo casing. No contams in either but Ahmed likes the 3jar idea to cut down contam rate!!! Thankyou very much Ahmed!!!
