Mycellium spores?

Recently I took some cloned cakes that already produced mushrooms and cloned them again onto birdseed which was pressure cooked for 1 hr. in previously used jars. I did a tissue culture so the mycellium was of course growing from the top. but on this one jar there was mycellium {very rhizomorphic} growing from the bottom of the jar, when it met the mycellium from the top they joined together and continued growing. Eventually nearly all the jars contamed w/ grey mold. Anyway my question is is it possible for mycellium to survive being dried and pressure cooked although I believe my pressure cooker's seal is broken so it never reaches full pressure. Or is it possible for p.cubensis mycellium to produce spore structures other than mushrooms w/ gills?

It sound like the bottom growth was contam, not mycelium. Make sure you clean the jars thoroughly. Prob mold spore contam that took after "sterilization."

see the thing is that the mycellium from the bottom originated from one piont grew rhizomorphic and the joined with the cloned mycellium. I had other jars where there was white contam but when it came near the cloned mycellim you could tell the were competing. meanig there was an area of non-growth. but the cloned rhizomorphic growth and the "contam" rhizomorphic grew past each other.

how is this advanced?? please do a little homework before you post a question like this here. It will save you much confusion.. mycelium of P. Cub will be destroyed by heat over ~106, although a few strains have anecdotal evidence that they can survive periods of (slightly) higher temps...

Well needless to say the mycellium came from the very bottom of the jar. where the sat in boiling water for at least 45 min. Maybe Im wrong but water boils at 212F and also not to menton it was in at least a partially functioning pressure cooker so lets say 235F. For the mycellium to grow from the bottom It must have survived more than 106F. The Whole reason Im asking a question is because, the two mycellium both controll and radical grew together and seemed to fucking like it. Not compete. Thanks for you input tho...

I remember reading a post a few days back about how if you have two mycelium growth points when they come together there will be a noticible boundry, as if they are competeing with each other, because each group of mycelium is its own entity and both want to have control over the whole substrate, and then other times they will combine, he used a pack of dogs as an analygy. okay i found the thread, read seuss's explination: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Contams&Number=612780&Forum=Contams&Words=dogs&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=612083&Search=true#Post612780 so basicly if one just quickly colonized the cake, and then ran over the other it is most likely some sort of mold. Oh, and if someone could, tell me how to get just the url for a thread instread of all that other shit having to do with searching that makes the url extermely long. thanks.

Thank you, Lucid... But Im not sure you understand what Im asking. I used a tissue clone for the innoculant. But there was a mycellium that came from the bottom of the jar and eventually grew together with a margin of about 3/4 in where the two rhizo mycellium grew together. I was asking weather the mycellium growing from the bottom survived the drying {jars left with open holes no foi in a box} cleaning of the jars, and sterilization? I was thinking it might be A spore or two that survived from the previous multispore innoculation.
