Calling all freaks

So, with all these new mushroom freak pictures comming out, i'm left wondering what the hell cuases them. Is it a glitch in genetics? A cuase of multiple flushes? Lack of water? Radioactive substrates?

So, my question is, what exactly cuases bitches like these?

How well is your air exchange? Humidity? Any light?

I know a number of mine had really elongated stems and were really odd looking, but that is because I was growing in small tererriums with hardly no air exchange, except for maby once or twice daily.
