Uhh...My casing turned blue....a bad thing?

The mycelia turns blue naturally as they get spent, if you think it's before it's time, it could be a water deficiancy.

I noticed that it was sorta a little dry because it was receedeing from the walls of the contrainer, so I plunked some water directly into it.

It should receed from the walls as it uses water. How many flushes?

Erm, you could try adding some more water. Do you have a bottom layer of vermiculite? You could drip some water down the receeding sides.

Could it be possible that it's blueing from bruising? Did you drop the caseing down the stairs or something?

yeah, it has a bottom layer of verm. What it is is a fully colonized cake, sliced half way through (left whole) and surrounded with verm. i was trying to pin it. It has some knots on it...looks dry.
