I approve. your pretty talented. with some good lyrics youd have yourself a pretty good song.

Just gave it a listen-through. It made me really relaxed. I was reminded of playing an RPG of the Chrono Cross caliber and I was buying items in a shop in town. At the end of the song, I proceeded with the story. Thanks for letting me hear it!

I voted 3 because at first I liked it a lot, but then the harmonica and flute like sounds kill the vibe completely, otherwise I would have rated it a 4.
get rid of the harmonica/flute sounds and add some vocals
also keep the strings pad that introduces the song on for longer, add a little mid and low frequencies to it, only a little not to cloud the rest of the track but to make it more warmer and fuller. keep us updated!

That's awesome because to me also it has some Chrono in it, and I'm already planning on sending it to Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono's composer) when it's complete. I also have the Chrono Trigger and Cross soundtracks on my comp, and they have some of my favorite music in them.
stefan, those are actually my favorite bits, the accordian (harmonica) and the panpipe bit that comes right after it. But I'll see what I can do with the strings at the beginning and bringing them back in. They're actually hard to work with because I have to do the fade in and out manually for each single note, and the individual notes are all on separate tracks. I still haven't got them exactly right at the beginning of the song, but I don't look forward to working on them because it eats up so much time and I have to get this song done soon so I can send it to a friend in another province to put drums into it.

it's probably just a matter of taste.. that sounds as a lot of work with the strings, can't you change the attack and release on the synth you're doing that with? that could make it easier
can't wait to hear when finished

i like it, and i read through the thread and i have the exact opposite reaction that stefan had. i love the organ thing when it comes in. it adds a more organic feeling, more warmth and depth imo. however i think the synth strings in the beginning are kind cheesy sounding, honestly.
anyways, good changes and melodies.

I've liked this song since the first time you sent it to me and it keeps getting better. Keep up the good work!
