i just go by echinopsis and trichocereus labels and hope cause theyre supposed to be active

I purchased what Im pretty sure is San Pedro or Peruvian Torch at K-mart today. one is a small 4" cactus that I got for $1.99 the other was a very large specimen for more money but not nearly as much as it would cost from the internet. Ill post some pics some time this week. Im happy.

well I dont know for sure since im pretty much a cactus noob but it really looks like a Trichocereus. I saw what looks like pilocereus in the k-mart too. Any ways I dont mind if its not trichocerues because Im collecting lots of different cacti. I want to start a cactus nursury

no, not like deathcaps.

but their are some sickening poisons in some cacti. nothing you ever want to consume.

really, you wouldnt want to consume that little cactus either. Theres a good possibility that it has no useful alkaloid content, but will still make you vomit

Not trying to threadjack. But how much cactus do you need to trip with? I'll probably never grow peyote just because of how slowly they grow, and it would probably take years to get a good trip. If these are similar I'll leave them alone.

the crested is a optunia. im not sure if its really crested or just wavy pads. yeah it was only $9.99. just keep your eyes open when you go to stores i find trichocereus everywhere, and i mean everywhere.
