I got little ones...

My first little guys didn't get much bigger than 3/4 to 1 inch before the veil broke. What gives? I am a bit dissapointed in my first flush considering what I am used to seeing. Is this right? It has been quite a while, but I just don't remember them being this small.

OK need more info, did you use cakes or casings.

If you tried casings, you might have just put the substrate layer too small. They could be dry, and ran out of water to keep producing, your air exchange could have not been enough or your humidity wasnt high enough. More info and I;ll try to help you otu

These are Acadian coast. I did case these, and I bet you are right about the substrate layet being too small. It is pretty thin. I didn't know that would make a difference. I am using potting soil per the shroom wizards guide suggests. Do you think that is enough nutrients? Does the fruit gte most of it's nutrients from the substrate in the jars, or the casing? I used BRF in the jars. I have the technique down now, it sounds like I need to be using some of the better substrate now. Thanks for the help guys. You have been a guiding light throughout this loooooooong process.
