nice pickings - identical to the classic subs that are around Melb at the moment although i still finding the flat or wavy-capped skinnier mushroom morew common - those seem a little young - they can get big too - like 1cm thick stems and 3 inch diameter caps - big and full of worms and rotting at the base - but big
enjoy those beauties and they will enjoy you

hehe yea... I picked the most mature ones and left the rest.. the weekend is coming up and they'll be a lot more people at the park, so I thought I may as well take out insurance on the patch heeh How many days do they usually take to mature? Is it like a week? Also, with these shroomies, potency doesn't decrease after veil break does it? They keep producing right? Or did these shrooms just naturally mature small.. or?

Thanks DethHed!

Nice find and interesting looking Subs, ours look very different with longer stems.
That log with all the pinners that was shown in bushhunt hasnt even matured yet and its almost 4 days after I photographed it. Dont pick any mushroom that hasnt seperated from the veil, the spores seem to fall even when the caps are semi mature. Leave all pinners...

Thanks guys

I think I picked them a little early.. the stems are also a little bit short because I cut them with scissors - I don't want to pull up the colonized substrate thereby reducing the fruitful abundance
I'm still not clear on when to pick these things.. did I pick them too early? I mean the veil isn't there - does that mean they're mature? Or do these keep growing and producing psilocybin as they grow (unlike cultivated cubies)?
