Since reading the book Fast food Nation, I have been very nervous about eating ANY U.S. beef. 13 slaughter houses for all the beef? Eeewww(that alone makes me sick)
Not to mention the fact you bastards fucking bitch slapped our farmers over one case of mad cow, when any American thats been following the subject could tell you the USDA has been covering up and ignoring all sorts of problems for years. After watching a few docs on the subject, and reading a few books, I have no faith in the USDA.
I have about 30 beef and bean burritos in the fridge that have been sitting there for months... and I have the munchies BAD. Not oh I'm a little hungry.......... I mean I'm making 3 things at once munchies... and I am about to eat 2 burritos... packed with U.S. beef.
Wish me luck, and if I die tonight or tomorrow, please tell my mother that I love her, and I should have said it, and showed it, more often. Good bye friends.
*NOTE: taking threads to seriously and being overly dramatic will give you penis and or breast cancer.

I will accept your mother, IF, she is under 40 years of age, and she brings a cousin of yours with her no more then 18 years of age. Oh and you only have to drive. No sex, it's cool.

MMMMMMM...Gotta love red meat. Gotta love any mass produced USDA approved flesh of any kind. Makes me hungry right now.

Just finished the first one, and it was damn good, nice and spicy. Pretty good.... well as good as mass produced burito can be. I feel ok, but I'm stoned and jiving. I have a nice cofee/pot buzz going, it's very nice way to start a Saturday.

It's cool to see someone that thinks the same way I do about meat.
I really would like to quit eating it all together but there are a few problems that I think I need to over come. BUT you should know that my dad raises his own beef and pork with all natural feed and without hormones and steroids. It tastes COMPLETELY different than ANY meat at the store. If someone is used to the taste of all those chemicals in the beef then they would think the meat my dad raises is bad. It tastes a lot different.
But I don't live with him so I don't eat his meat everytime I eat it. I really want to quit eating but...
#1 I love to eat meat. Theoretically it contains good protein and lots of energy. #2 I don't know what else I would eat instead of meat to fill the nutritional needs #3 It fill me up. Without meat I don't what I would eat to get full.
But like you say... It has a lot of USDA bullshit involved. Big Business if you will. The small time farmers like my dad COULDN'T raise their own meat as a business. The whole system is totally fucked up in america. And that extends far greater than the USDA. It's acrost the whole board... FDA, FTC, and AMA... They are all capitalist pigs that have finincial interests at the head their agenda.

I agree, and the rest of your post was good too I DO BUY lots o quality meat, and we do get allot of our stuff from an organic farmer in town, but we are low on cash(GF&I) and I have to eat whats there...
I have been a vegetarian before, but I went back to meat.
IMO... When you raise meat well(organically, and with good practices) its better for EVERYONE.
1.Less pollution. And food that is better for you. (environment) 2.Better quality food, and it really does taste better I totally agree.(consumer) 3.Its more humane, to raise an animal in proper conditions, and with the right food. (animal)
People on each far end of the debate bother me. Often, when I try and bring up the idea of raising better quality meat, one side calls me a pussy, and the other side calls me a cruel murder. I really think they both have it wrong. And that like many things in life, this issue is not black and white. And the solution is grey

haha... I love the vegans that attack people for eating meat. They say...in order to eat mean you should kill it yourself...(I have done this...I feel bad...But then I got hungry and cut the pigs fucking head off...strung her up...let her drain...and gutted her...I know the process)
I also love it how they say the animals are raised in cruel environments.. Not always true. This could be said with Big Meat industry. But for people like you buy your meat off of and my family, we treat our animals with love and respect. Hell we named one cow Otis off Andy Griffith because would go to the barn every morning and he would himself locked up in the barn. He was free to roam and graze...We would pet him and talk to him and shit... He served his purpose in life...And that was to feed people.
But as I said. I would like quit eating meat because I can't eat all organic meat all the time. Not because I feel obligated to animals...But so I don't some fucking cancer growing on my body somewhere.

Too much meat is a bad thing for sure. Weather its organic or not. Moderation my friend, moderation.
I eat mushrooms, and tofu stirfry quite often, and this morning I am having 3 burritos. Admittedly not the best quality meat, but I'm broke.

i love meat and i dont really care who kills it or how as long as its quickm
i would prefer if there was no cruelty as this could tuffen the meat and i dont see how batteries like caged chickens are any different to the rspca caging an animal in a box until its sold at inflated costs and if not its put down
they could atleast send them anials to third world countries as food, vegans could pay for it if they cared that much as they say

I agree eat meat in moderation. I usually don't eat meat more than 1 meal a day.
Thank god for grilled cheeses..
But I try to eat way more fruit and vegetable than meat. But sometime that doesn't happen.

Much of your post confused me, edit it man! come on! But up here, the SPCA has a no kill policy, and factory farm meat is way more fucked up then you might imagine, try reading about it, you might actually be surprised. Its bad for you, the animals and the environment. All of my cats came from the SPCA and the cost isn't inflated at all, they have had their shots, and check ups. The SPCA needs money to help these animals, its just that simple.

I would agree. I have gotten great animals from the shelter. My dog gracie was a little puppy when we got her. She has all her shots when we got here...those are expensive as it is.
Also if the dogs are big enough they will fix them automatically...saving the person that is adopting the trouble. I don't think the SPCA wants to kill animals... If people were more fucking responsible to begin with, they wouldn't end up in a shelter. It's ulmately the people's fault.

Exactly, it's our fault. The public. And as I said up here we now have a no li;; policy, and its working out fine. Animals still find homes, and the SPCA is far from broke.

ours kill them if they cant sell them they frown at people who find pups/kittens when they hand them in as if the good samaratan dumped them they charge around 100bucks for ointment for grazes which are the equivalent to human ointments like savlon worth about 5 bucks
im not saying you dont get good animals there just that ours are greedy ripoffs

Well the Canadian SPCA is top notch from my personal experience. I can't speak about yours, but I will say paying all those bills gets really expensive, they need to come up with money somehow.
Maybe a large part of the problem in your area is that people dont make enough donations. But I dont know, as I dont live there.

Maybe he is, I don't know. That shouldn't matter, he doesn't argue that people shouldn't eat meat. He argues that it should be raised better. I couldn't help but agree with him.
Don't bring the craziness of L.Ron into this discussion... I want to avoid talking about that silly little cult, that goes by the name Scientology.

You're funny.
But you have to realize where I am coming from on this, after all you live on a farm.
geez, how did I know that even when I made a thread joking about eating shitty burritos, it would spin off into a discussion about how meat is raised. Its fine, but damn this shit was predicable.
