how can i extract Psilocybin from Mycelium (thread wanted)

I was just wondering if anyone could hook it up with some info on a good extraction method for mycelium.

how about look at the dozens of threads in this very forum that already cover this?

i still fail to see what extraction has to do with cultivation, let alone advanced cult... should have these discussions in psych experience or sci & tech... *sigh*

mods, can we get an "extraction thread" sticky like the strain thread in cult?  maybe link up the existing threads and point all the new ones there... so perhaps some actual discussion about advanced cultivation can take place? :smile:

I disagree. This is a mushroom growing fourm, not a drug production fourm. Extraction serves no mycological purpose when the only intention is to get high. I'd like to lock down all those duplicate extraction threads in advanced as well. There's nothing advanced about soaking mushrooms in alcohol(or something toxic) then drinking the brew.

Forget extracting actives from mycelium. There's hardly any there until fruits develop, and it's too easy to just eat mushrooms.

i wouldn't miss the same redundant and irrelevant threads myself if they were gone... thinking was seems to be a popular topic even if it doesnt belong, so a single sticky to discuss would appease the populace without censoring them... ala the strain guide here :smile:

whatever, while we're at it we should get that silly "psilocybin producers guide" taken out of the cult section on the site.  i understand wanting complete info but why leave a mostly bogus tek up there that sparks so many of these questions on it in the first place?  we want people to read through the faqs and teks first, yet there's a lotta incorrect, conflicting, and outdated info in them!

RR - I am not saying that I enjoy these threads, nor that I think it is a worth while project.
However, I can see how folks would consider extraction an "experimental procedure", and think this the place for discussion.
