Restless leg syndrome
    #6541838 - 02/07/07 09:28 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

I recently developed restless leg syndrome aka RLS about a year ago. I hear medication is prescribed for that, but I dont feel like taking benzos every day. I also feel too old to have developed this habit and it is embarassing at times. I tend to hang around people that can tolerate it nowadays. Has anyone ever kicked this habit before? And are there any causes?

you should go back to the doctor, you might also have TYTS, twiddling your thumbs syndrome...... it is a debilitating illness that affects everyone who sees the commercial.

try taking some multivitams with a large amount of folic acid, that alwaya seems to help my rls.

I am going to be completely honest with you. Please do not take offense.

RLS is a completely bullshit condition designed to sell you prescription drugs. Plain and simple.

Your body wants to move. It gets restless when you don't move around.

Exercise it!

The End.

Sorry. I do not buy it as a medical condition deserving of a special designation and special drugs to treat it. I do not trust the medical establishment as they are constantly finding new conditions in order to prescribe drugs to unsuspecting persons to treat their "newly discovered " conditions.

They put ads on tv to get patients to bug their doctors for all sorts of things they can treat themselves with proper diet and exercise. It should be the other way around but Big Pharma has wrested control of medicine away from the doctors and use marketing to push drugs instead of letting the doctor diagnose then prescribe the appropriate drug or (Heaven forbid) no drug at all! We can't have that!

Restless legs?

Yeah, give 'em some benzos and they'll slow down real fast.
