The Australian biochemists will help to struggle with drugs. They have found out a reagent which forces psychotropic mushrooms to shine in darkness, informs ABC News.
In article published in medicolegal magazine, it is marked, that such test appreciablly is easier than the laboratory chemical analysis used till now.
Psychotropic mushrooms, as a rule, contain pscn and psbn, derivatives of the extremely widespread indole. The reagent found by Nikol Anastos from Dekinsk's university, starts to shine at the presence of microquantities{microamounts} of each of substances - that the standard single doze of these psychotropic substances makes a little mg.
Luminescence explain a chemical luminescence: it arises during chemical reaction and slowly fades. In opinion of chemists, at interaction pscn with an oxidizer the excited molecules which let out light at transition in the basic condition are formed.
Nikol Anastos hopes, that soon criminalists will start to use her reactant.
.........such affairs :^)

I want to offer improbable, but very amusing idea of application of this reactant: Having armed with such devices
it is possible to sprinkle the a wood glade and after that to collect all magic mushrooms which will get in sight of your night vision device
the most important thing is to hurry up.... because the luminescence fades, bu-haha :^)
p\s\somebody can prompt me a е-mail of this woman....I want to know that has mixed up in her head that she could mix such magic reactant

Somebody posted this story a few months ago. If I remember correctly, the test is very expensive so not really practical yet. They're working on that though, I'm sure. RR

as rogerrabbit says, the test is expensive and even not practical because the light (which is the result of the reaction between the chemical substance and the active components in the mushroom) is still not bright enough to see it. it needs special measuring instruments like a lux-meter! so the DEA won´t catch us soon
but the idea of luminous magics is quite interesting!

like RR origionally said that it maybe expensive and impractical...it is still a really cool idea!
but knowing the world (well atleast USA...it will be come in use for govt only...:\)

w00t. This is actually pretty funny because my favorite mushroom happens to be Panelus Stipticus ( the glow in the dark novelty mushroom). It would be cool to see glowing cubes though. But cost is an important factor and like aforementioned it just isn't practical yet. Besides that woman is retarded, she could have spent all that time trying to stop drugs that actually kill people like crack cocaine, heroine, methadone, ect. but instead she focus's on magic mushrooms. She must have a personal grudge after a bad trip...
