While death is possible, it is unlikely. You may have some new mold/bacteria that looks like cobweb, but is in fact some newly evolved toxin, you never know, it is possible. Fruiting bodies can be present as long as there is some amount of mycelium. There are many debates over whether or not mushrooms grown on contaminated substrate are safe to ingest, but the general saying is "When in doubt, throw it out..." If you really want to, nobody can stop you, but if you can wait for another batch to colonize, do so, wait, it could end up saving you a lot of pain (assuming you ingest a harmful toxin alongside the fruiting bodies). I would suggest not eating them, despite having the temptation to do otherwise myself.

sigh this is asked every day. Do not eat moldy shroosm or shrooms growing from a nasty cake.

Most likely cob web wouldnt cause a problem. But some may be severly allergic to it. Is it really worth gambling on yer health to get high?

Stupid stupid stupid question.

Would you eat contaminated food? Why is it that several times a month some idiot asks this same question? Is it worth the risk just to get high?

Remember kiddies... when in doubt, throw it out!

well, ive eaten bread with a bit of mold on it, on multiple occations. When I toke up and get the munchies that only a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich can cure, a bit of mold on some bread sure as hell aint gonna stop me!
